[ hopefully Kara wasn't planning on just up and leaving after his restaurant had closed for the day. no matter how many people had been there and how many he'd carefully turfed out at closing time, there's one more sat up at the counter, chin on his hand, looking out of one of the windows like he's not entirely present.

or like he really cares he essentially broke into his friend's restaurant to look broody at the counter. ]

[ well now that everyone else is out. he turns and somehow? isn't surprised to see that ash has snuck in? that just happens sometimes when you're friends with foxes.

kara has known this particular one long enough to know instantly that something is wrong, though. instead of asking about it up front, though, he just goes about his business, closing all but the western screens so they won't be disturbed. he disappears into the kitchen for a moment, and suddenly ash will find a small plate of mochi before him.

ash just looks away for a moment. it's fine. he's fine. he's not hiding a grin. when he looks back though, his face just pretty schooled into just an amused expression rather than outrightly laughing at him. he leans forwards onto the counter, arms folded. ]

But seriously, how does this all interconnect? It's one thing if I pick something that fucks shit up for people generally for a bit, but it's a whole other deal if I pick something that specifically fucks you over.
