[the issue at hand is that iris hasn't been eating normally. it comes with the territory of being a newly transformed yuki onna, she thinks, in particular belonging to the variety that gains sustenance only from feeding on the energy of others. she hates it, of course, and it's why she goes hungry so very often. even today, she's gone a few days now without eating through sheer willpower.
