Because if this place is anything like the others, knowing who has what capabilities may help find who we're looking for, if something bad happens.

I won't ask for details right now - but mine is offensive.

You’re right, of course. Mine is more defensive than offensive. Really, I’d call it strategic more than anything.

No. There aren't many ways to use it that wouldn't harm someone.

About ten, I think, but only one knows exactly what the ability is. Why?

That I'm the only one with an offensive power, so far. But it doesn't mean much; there are a lot of us here. There are probably others.

I plan to, yes. The earlier we know, the easier it will be on us if we do end up in trials again.

...I can't promise to share exactly what their powers are, if they tell me. But if we can keep track of who has what sort of ability, that's fine.

That’s fine. That’s privileged information for a good reason. But maybe we can at least sort out the categories of everyone’s powers, as you’ve said. Who else have you spoken to so far?

Mostly just our cabin, so far. Lili, Tsurumaru, Tonbokiri, and Yasusada, too. All claimed to have non-offensive abilities.

I’ll just be plain. Do you think they’re all telling you the truth?

The only ones I'd have reason to doubt are you three, from the cabin.

[ just as plainly. there's no reason to hide it. ]

Dimitri was too surprised to hear about my ability to be lying. Zenitsu strikes me as too cowardly to lie about important things like that. [ did he have to say it like that ] You're the only one I can't be sure of.

That I'd prefer to believe you, but it's not necessarily the smartest move, so we'll wait and see.
