This place does seem to like taking the most inconvenient "residuals" from each of our previous experiences.
...But no, we can't. We'll have to keep our eyes open, in case the killer tries to frame someone again - whether or not they're the same from last week. It would be too easy to let them slip away, with all the secrets here.
I wouldn't be so sure. Without any way of verifying which powers are on the table or which have been used, there's still too much we don't know to draw a solid conclusion until they confirm how the vote went.
[ at the head pat, kara just
sighs. ]
You are right about that, though. It makes me think these effects were meant as less of a hint and more of a distraction, for the trials.
[Kara deserves a medal for his patience because Sanji grimaces like he wants to die]
45-chan said as much herself, coming from the same place the effects originated. Shitheads started lying about the effects to cover for themselves.
All a killer would have to do is stick around an area, wait for everyone to fall asleep, do their shitty business, and then keep an eye on what the effect was once people woke up.
I'd be more surprised if that didn't happen here, I think. It might be best to mostly ignore them, then, and focus more on what we find during the trial instead. That way we'd just avoid that issue.
Or at the very least, we gotta stop putting too much shitty stock in 'em since they're so easy to manipulate.
[Drumming his fingers across his hip for a moment]
The people in the nursing office have irritated eyes that hurt if they rub at them, and anyone who was found in the isolation cabin are being rude bastards. That's all I gathered so far.
Zenitsu mentioned that. There's the... patting, too. And Lili, Ash, and I were in the memorial hall, and we keep talking about the dead - because Tsurumaru Kuninaga was treasured by many.
Though at this point, Sanji has more or less accepted that people are going to be getting into both his memories and personal business. Meeting Kara's gaze is only met with vague exasperation as the scene changes around them -- specifically a boat in the middle of a foggy sea, and--
Of course not! Brook's a human, even if he's skeletal!
... But he ate a fruit that allowed his soul to come back from the dead. Unfortunately for him, it took fifty shitty years to... actually find his body.
Timeline? I mean... not really. Time marched onward and that's the shitty problem. If he'd found his body immediately, it still would've been healthy and had skin.
But since it took fifty years, he came back to a skeleton to inhabit.
week 2, friday.
of course, kara is a rude bitch and skips the pleasantries. ]
You went on the investigations, right? What did you find?
no subject
This is a godsend.
Text it, Kara is the only person in the camp who is now valid.]
A goddamn glow stick in a tree.
[You can hear the contempt in his voice]
no subject
[ the fuck's a glowstick ]
no subject
He pauses trying to wrap his brain around this before:]
Maybe? It's a small, long tube, and when you crack it in the middle, it glows. The one I found was purple.
no subject
Was that it?
no subject
We couldn't get it down. Not sure why.
no subject
no subject
Trust me, it wouldn't budge.
Maybe during the trial it'll be more cooperative.
no subject
[ he sighs. ]
You'd think investigations would turn out more useful than this. But of course this place makes everything complicated.
no subject
[Drawing a hand through his hair]
We can't even look at the body ahead of schedule.
no subject
[ that's hardly fair ]
But it gives us a lead, I guess - however small it is.
no subject
Guess maybe the castle spoiled me in some ways.
[Which is such a weird thing to think of when he considers the Trauma]
And yeah, it's something. I'll take anything.
[...]
Can't afford to bullshit around tomorrow.

['Course, that could backfire if the solution is simple and they spend 7 hours debating something that isn't important BUT ANYWAY.]
... Not gonna lie, I'm worried about the curfew effects. They're all easily replicated.
[he says
as he tries to reach over and pat Kara on the head, I'm so sorry]
no subject

[ . . . ]
It's annoying, but just as easy to fake.
week 2, tuesday
no subject
As Kara is about to see in a second.
Though at this point, Sanji has more or less accepted that people are going to be getting into both his memories and personal business. Meeting Kara's gaze is only met with vague exasperation as the scene changes around them -- specifically a boat in the middle of a foggy sea, and--
Ah.
... Ah....
Well. This could have been much, much worse]
no subject
kara is quiet for a long moment.
and then: ]
Hah?

Just my... pirate crew.
[An almost apologetic gesture at the nonsense]
Luffy convinced a skeleton to join us as our musician.

... But he ate a fruit that allowed his soul to come back from the dead. Unfortunately for him, it took fifty shitty years to... actually find his body.

But wouldn't that mess with timelin? Coming back from the dead?

Timeline? I mean... not really. Time marched onward and that's the shitty problem. If he'd found his body immediately, it still would've been healthy and had skin.
But since it took fifty years, he came back to a skeleton to inhabit.

Some kind of magic, then...?

Sanji just had to watch a gorgeous woman throw herself at this sword's feet and he didn't even. blink??? Motherfucker!!
-- AND THEN LILI RUNNING INTO A TREE IN THE PERIPHERAL, AND JUST
Sanji literally channeling Lili in this icon, he is deceased]
How the hell did she manage to woo you, then?!
no subject
What? Who?
no subject
You couldn't even tell when a beautiful blond spirit wanted to sleep with you!!
How did Lili get you to focus on romance long enough!
no subject
[ he still doesn't know that slang, sanji. ]
...You're asking how we started courting?
[ w
why ]
no subject
Immediately closing his mouth as his life flashes before his eyes]
Yeah. Let's... let's forget that first part.
Because I'm putting my money on her having approached you first.
no subject
She told me she liked me pretty early, yeah. Why?
no subject
Was curious since you don't seem the type to... romance.
no subject
[ like, let's be real here, ]
But if that's something Lili wants, could at least try it, for her sake.
no subject
Sanji wasn't prepared]
Well -- good! Because Lili obviously deserves the world!
